I helped lead UBI programs at GiveCrypto (acquired by coinbase) and I think the potential here is massive. We sent families ETH weekly, and helped facilitate randomized controlled trials measuring the impact it had on their well-being. This was back in 2019-2021 - onboarding was painful, but so much opportunity.

Seeing more things on UBI lately. Our devices are the best hope for a manageable source of UBI, not a government. The utilities and services we build need to enable people to acquire ongoing returns from the value they contribute. Crypto services will be able to stream to your accounts/wallets value earned from network

So tbh I try not to get annoyed with previous era policy decisions - it’s so hard to see what the right answer is while you’re in the thick of it - but what I do get VERY frustrated with is when things are obviously broken or wrong in retrospect, but no effort is made to fix it today

Agreed. Social security I’m sure was as mind blowing of a concept then as staking and yield farming are today. When you learn the flywheel wasn’t connected to anything though you gotta shift or you’re just sitting in a burning plane on a runway waiting to be rescued

Yea.
Would honestly love to see mid-cycle re-elections/general increase in tempo of regulator flip over.
Longer terms were supposed to incentivize long term thinking, but clearly that hasn’t panned out. Time to try something else.

Glad to hear it. I've been a UBI advocate since the late 1990s, and the prospect of actually seeing some form of UBI/UCI implemented broadly within in my lifetime is a major motivating force for me. I think crypto could make it happen long before politicians could.
